Panorama over
the Ivanovsky Ridge
Zvezdny Pass is a day route of moderate difficulty along the Uba River valley — an old logging road that climbs to a plateau at roughly 1,800 metres with sweeping views in every direction.
This is the tour for those who love photography, panoramic views and history without tackling extreme off-road. The road is manageable, the rewards are considerable.

Old-Believer villages
and a mountain plateau
En route we visit Yermolayevka and 8 Marta — Old Believer villages founded in the 18th century by religious dissenters fleeing the Nikonian reforms. Novosnoy Bridge over the Uba River is another stop.
The finale: the Zvezdny Pass plateau with its 360° panorama of the Ivanovsky Ridge. A perfect spot for photography — or simply standing still and taking it all in.
The Old Believer settlements in the Uba valley are among the oldest in the region. Established in the mid-18th century by communities fleeing state religious reform, they preserved a way of life almost unchanged for generations.
